Welcome to month six of the life story project. I can’t believe I am halfway through this project, it has been so much fun to capture the moments of my ordinary days with my little loves. And, I have loved seeing the beautiful work of the other photographers taking part in this project.
This month, I wanted to share a story about my baby. Being my second child, she doesn’t get the same amount of my undivided attention that her big sister did at the same age… Sometimes I have some mommy guilt about that, but then I remember the dates she and I have when her big sister is at school and my guilt is significantly diminished.
Once a week, I take her to our local children’s museum. And we play and play and play. And then we play some more. To say that she loves it would be a bit of an understatement.
I love it too. I feel blessed to live in such a beautiful place and to be able to share so many fun and amazing things with my children.
This girl. She loves music and dancing so our first stop is at the marimbas. I love watching her play. Her enthusiasm is boundless.
After she has played a few songs we head into the area that’s reserved just for babies and toddlers. On nice days, she plays in the stream and splashes with some frogs.
Sometimes she likes to go to the outdoor area that’s open to kids of all ages… The gravel pit is hard to resist.

When it is time for a snack, she always wants to share with the birds… She very helpfully smashed the cracker she dropped on the ground for this bird. Perhaps she thought the smaller pieces would be easier for the bird to handle?
After her snack, we head inside. She always finds a new friend to play with…
And a place to practice some tumbling moves.
The last stop we make before we leave is the gift shop – not for a present but for one last round of playing! The train tables are so much fun!
She always falls asleep as we are leaving and I enjoy the beautiful drive home, happy to have had such a lovely morning with my sweet, sweet girl.
I hope you enjoyed this month’s life story.
Next up in the blog circle is a lovely photographer and friend of mine, Angela Ross. Make sure you visit her blog for her story – the story of gardening basics.
Until next time,
Nicole
