I often read advice from other photographers – counseling those who are in a creative rut to photograph what they love. Many photographers I know fail to heed this advice – they get caught up in the day-to-day demands of running a photography business and sometimes lose sight of the things they love about photography. I have joined up with some amazing photographers to make sure that we do not lose sight of what we love about photography. We will each be shooting for ourselves, once a month for one year. Our project is called “The Story of _______” and each month the individual photographer will fill in the blank – be it “The story of a summer night” or “The story of Christmas”. We will each tell our story through our photographs and we will each link to another photographer who is participating in this project. Please join us as we use our cameras to tell our stories, we’d love to have you come along.
Fall is my favorite season. I love the crisp air and the falling leaves. I also love taking my daughters to our local pumpkin patch. It has become a tradition for us to drive out to the country every October and search for the perfect pumpkins to adorn our front porch for the season.
Here is my story – The story of the pumpkin patch.
The next photographer in my group is the amazingly talented Kristin of Images by Kristin. You can find her story here.
